‘Ello mates, figured since I had the chance to do so, I’d cook up just OOOONE more tiny little blog entry before the big Otakon 2013 Extravaganza. As I mentioned before, Darkstar’s gonna be all up in the Artist’s Alley, rocking booth CC03 right by the Pratt St. Entrance of the hall. Here’s Skoll in a handy customized version of the map to demonstrate exactly where it is where we’ll be:

We hope to have the chance to hang and chat with many of you fine readers. I’ve already shot messages back and forth with some of you, and I’m very much looking forward to catching up. For those not at Otakon this weekend, fear not, Fajita is back and will continue updating uninterrupted with no convention breaks. Thus everything shall be as it should be.

Just know that one of these days, I find some way to hit enough conventions across the board to meet as many of you as I physically can! You people are awesome, and I look forward to it! Thanks as always for reading! Chapter 12 is now in progress!

Have you figured it out? To put it another way, here won’t be any less revelations, instead there will be more. Lots more. No more secrets, kids.

So it’s sounding like a big undertaking for this next chapter in our story, and yes, yes it is actually. But no less exciting. The themes are strong, and I’m confident in where the characters are going. With this update I want to note that work is still steadily underway on #12, and I continue to appreciate your patience as I work. Having to adjust to my new working pace, has been.. educational (read: frustrating), as I’m carefully etching the strength back into my drawing hand.

With Otakon around the corner, I’ve had to invest a chunk less of my limited time to writing/drawing Fajita while working on all the new and awesome prints we can’t wait to show off. Added to that my continued work illustrating for a local comics anthology project, and it’s safe to say the new chapter’s been a bit slow in the works.

But rest assured, I will continue to upload as much informational filler as I can and keep you all posted on what’s going on. Thanks for sticking with me, and I sincerely hope that Fajita #12 in all it’s glory will come as some manner of reward for your waiting.

Work on Fajita #12 is underway, and it’s looking to be possibly the biggest, most insane entry the comic has ever seen, and that’s saying something. It’s proving to be quite a task as well, but frankly I’m just plain excited to have arrived at this point in the story. My only real concern is delivering it the best way I possibly can. I owe Fajita a lot after all. I learned everything practical I know about comics from working on it these (nearly) 4 years.

Number 12 is going to be the payoff to things that have been building up since the beginning of Act 01. For the next couple of weeks, I’m going to be running teasers for it as Comic pages. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I’ll add a new word with every update. Words that, when read together, form the tagline of this upcoming chapter. Naturally, I’ll leave these to you all to decipher. That is, until the big reveal.

Also, I highly recommend taking some time to re-read the comic while waiting for the new chapter to drop. You can check out the updated Cast and Storyline page to see the current characters in focus, an introduction to the latest chapter, as well as a list of all the other chapters from the story (with their own introductions).
